To help Chrysler Rejuvenate its image and resurrect the company’s fortunes, Lee Iacocca asked Carroll Shelby to hot rod the front wheel drive Dodge Charger. Shelby’s team significantly improved the handling, power and visual appeal of the Omni-based Charger.

The Dodge Shelby Charger was available through Chrysler dealers nationwide from 1983 to 1987. This car was the prototype for the Dodge Shelby Charger line and is part of Carroll Shelby’s personal collection.
